Allegro Performing Arts Centre offers “one of the finest and most diverse dance programs in Victoria, BC.” In 2018, they approached me the to redesign their website, streamline the online user experience, and enable administrators to easily add and update content.

Although Allegro provides classes, camps and workshops year-round to children and adults of all ages and abilities, their primary user category is not dancers, but parents of school-age children. People in this group tend to be commitment heavy: they want easy-to-navigate online experiences that facilitate task completion. To create a user experience based website, I analyzed the existing content, outlined gaps in information and barriers to use, and worked with Allegro to ensure their website supported their dancers and parents, as well as their faculty and administrators.
